If you've got this far, congratulations! This tutorial is by no means comprehensive but will, I hope, have given you enough of an overview to be able to add a good range of content to your pages, and provided sufficient background that you can now extend your research. The web contains a vast amount of invaluable resources on HTML, various guides, tutorials and references suitable for all ranges of ability, so do take advantage of these. There's a list of useful sites on the links page of this site, but you can also do very well by simply typing what you'd like to know into google.

Of course, pages produced using the HTML covered thus far are a long way from being pretty; I've been focussing in this tutorial (with the exception of a single reluctant foray into presentational HTML) on how to create and structure the content of web pages, rather than on their design and formatting. To create designs for your pages, the next step is to start learning Cascading Style Sheets, a completely different language from HTML which has been specifically formulated to give you the maximum control over the presentation of your pages.
